Just picked this guitar up off reverb.com. It came from Dr. T's tone factory and lutherie in Del Mar California. they went over everything and leveled and dressed the frets. No cracks at all, and great neck angle with great action and plenty of saddle height. Since this was an electric model from the factory, I installed an LR Baggs element VTC in it, without having to ream out the jack hole very much at all. Finished it off with some bloodstone cattle bone bridge pins and a bone compensated bridge saddle. This thing sounds and looks amazing, and I couldn't be happier!

Thanks guys! This guitar sounds so good amplified now, with the LR Baggs element through a Behringer V-tone ADI21, which is how I have all my stage acoustics set up. A good stable mate for my 2006 Guild F-50 maple.

This is my pedal board setup. Fairly inexpensive, but effective. Tuner, Behringer, chorus, and reverb.

Wow that’s a great accompanying duo, covering a lot of sounds and tones with just two guitars. You’ve got a dreadnought body, a jumbo, lots of midrange in that mahogany, and a really great sizzle and sustain in that maple. Both great projection with arched backs. Perfect.

My favorite iteration of the D4 is the earlier satin finished version. I even prefer it over the high gloss.

Also, the Behringer ADI21 is a surprisingly good value in a preamp. I use mostly use my Fishman Platinum, but if I'm also playing mandolin/12 string/stick dulcimer I'll run those through the Behringer. Or . . . going to an open-mic or really quick changeover gig, I'll just bring a guitar and the Behringer. It's totally a SansAmp rip-off, but it's a very good SansAmp rip-off.

Ya, I like to keep things simple, the LR Bagg’s and that Behringer seem like they work great together. At least in my guitars.
