$25 concert tix sale (Live Nation/Ticketmaster) until tues the 10th!!

Just a heads up....

A friend in Jacksonville Fla just texted me that Live Nation/Ticketmaster was selling tix to a list of shows (apparently they need to fill some seats!) for $25 a pop, w/ no fees. He got Primus (doing Rush's Farewell to Kings), The Black Crowes, and Tedeshi Trucks band....all for a flat $75.

Not sure if this is going on everywhere, but IMO it's worth checking.

Edit: texted my brother in Charlotte. He said he just bought tix for the Doobies, Cheap Trick/Rod Stewart, and Tears for Fears (for his wife)

I got tickets to see Dion (nobody's more NY than him now that Lou Reed is gone), and could have gotten seats for The Doobies, Cheap Trick/Rod Stewart, and Tears for Fears, but those three are at the Jones Beach Theater here, and every time I go there is pours rain, so I've given up after the last soaking. Plus traffic and parking sucks there.

Live Nation/Ticketmaster is the worst thing that ever happened to live music. I'm fortunate enough that nearly anybody I want to see plays small enough venues that it's not worth those vampires' effort to double the prices.

[edited to add] The point of that rant is that while this offer might be attractive to other folks, I personally don't want to feed the beast
