I have no reason to question the seller's claim of a Bisonic. I don't know JetStar history very well, but (assuming my memory and understanding of what Hans said are correct) if you look at the chronology of Starfire bass pickups there was a period when they had Bisonics, then a period when they had something else and then a long period of Bisonics that ended in 1970 with the humbucker. So I have no expectation that the headstock configuration on a JetStar would be any kind of predictor of what pickup was installed at the factory. While there are lots of false positives to wade through, a search for Guild JetStar Bass images does turn up a couple of other examples with the "straight" headstock and what looks like a Bisonic.
I think if you are a Peter Tork devotee then the price might be reasonable but if you are looking for a player and a sound I would expect $2000 would get you a very similar sound in a Starfire and somewhat less would get you a JS II with a Bisonic which would probably be an even closer match, sonically, presuming one ever came on the market. For $3000 you could buy a Starfire with Bisonic, a JS with humbuckers and have cash to pay your luthier to do a pickup transplant between them. (However, if you do go that way please doen't expect a lot of support and encouragement from LTG members  )

that price would be on the high side of what I would expect if I ever sold my Green Starfire II bass.
I'm glad I didn't know that before. When I thought a green Starfire II with Bisonics is what I needed to make my life complete, $3750 was under my budget. Luckily I remembered that
"All cats are gray in the dark" and that upgrading from a red SF I to a green SF II was not going to make me sound much different or play any better.
