I enjoyed reading your sound comparisons, and was wondering if the F47 would
be the brighter guitar due to the maple body, apparently not so.
Dead on regarding your description of the GAD. I think of the neck as a 60's Fender C-shape, but know it has to be bigger than that...but it is what it feels like when say you go from a 50's tele to a 60's strat or jag.
Interesting that you say the GAD is louder than the F47. I find mine very loud also. With GHS Bright Bronze strings its about the loudest I have had it, to the point where you almost cannot play something subtle...I keep going back to LaBella PB strings, seems to be the best balanced and controlled. I suspect with a little experimentation, you could find the optimum strings (for your ear) for the F47.
