It's hard to tell from the video - Franz or DeArmond pickups? Strange to see you playing a thin-body instead of the X175. Nice performance. I get a kick out of watching your drummer, too.

Thanks guys!

Jeff, DeArmond pickups. We flew to this gig, and the Starfire fits the overhead compartment!

Just curious, Walter. Does your band ever come to the states, and NYC in particular? Love to see you guys too!

We've done it in the past, twice in the Southwest, once just the "Rockin' 50's fest" in Green Bay, Wisconsin, but it's a bigger undertaking than it seems.

It's almost impossible to get four guys with instruments into the U.S. without work permits, is problem number one. Getting those is a tedious, long, and expensive process.
Add the cost of plane tickets, transportation inside the U.S., and other various expenses on the road, and with the "not so rockstar money" you get for playing roots music in little venues, it's almost impossible to just break even, let alone make a little money. Add the current dollar/Euro exchange rate to that, and even just the idea of organizing another U.S. tour makes me a little dizzy.

So it's not that we don't want to, the two little tours we did were a LOT of fun, but it's almost impossible to put together at this time. We're broke enough as it is...

That's too bad Walter. Looks like I'll just have to come to you! 8)

This goes to Walter or anyone else that happens upon this thread...

As I am turning 50 in two short years I will be forced to honor the occasion with a 1963 Guild with DeArmonds, likely either an X-175, or a Starfire (II, III, or IV - first year of issue for the IV if I remember Hans' book correctly). It may take some time to find the right one, so If anyone comes across one of these in very good condition please let me know.

Hey Walter, any chance of getting some Seatsniffer CD's anywhere? Preferably a physical copy rather than a download.

Thanks!
