Back quite a few years ago my bass players older brother asked me what kind of acoustic should I buy. He is primarily an experienced Sax player.
I told him I'd go with him to the local large Music store and help him pick one out. We looked around the many acoustics hanging in the
acoustic room and then a new Guild D4 caught my eye.
I told him that is the one you need to try first. Then try a few other brands and models and follow up with the D4.
Long story short he agreed that D4 was a really great choice - especially for the money.
Here we are years later. He called me to help him install a new front storm door. We got to talking and
I asked him "hey, do you still have the D4?" He told me "as a matter a fact I do".
Well can a see it? Sure.
It looks great, has many years of play, but the sound is wonderful.
I can tell he really enjoys and cherishes it.
