Another Goodwill Score

No, not another D25, but a score none the less. I stop by Goodwill periodically in case another D25 happens to show up. I suspect that will never happen again, but I do find good deals from time to time. Yesterday I came across a nearly new set of Briggs and Riley Baseline luggage - a brand I've been using for 30 years - that would retail for around $2K. Two carry-on size and one large bag. I paid $16.97 total for all three. I'll take my well-used bags back to Goodwill as chum for the next fishing expedition.

I see the price on these, but they look just like my American Tourister cheapo stuff (that has actually held up quite well). What makes them so special?

Self-repairing zippers
External handles = more room inside the bag.
Lifetime guarantee/repairs - including airline damage (My big bag has been repaired/refurbished twice for no cost - they will offer a big discount on a new bag or will repair your bag free)

Granted there are less expensive options out there, (like finding them at Goodwill...) but I have yet to use a bag that I liked more.

Well, I'll travel more in the upcoming years, but not that much! I think I'll be OK.

Last time I flew was in 2016 when my mom passed away, and I had to quickly get from Oregon to Florida. I hate almost everything about flying, but I do like to take driving trips, so even I get it - Good luggage is nice to have.
