Can someone please direct me to a page on the internet that describes the features of the Bluesbird guitars over the years?

Thanks

Welcome. I think the history is complicated enough that no one has assembled it. If I am correct then you might consider asking a few specific questions. If you are interested in an instrument you own then year, serial number or pictures would get us started. If you want to know which one to buy then then tell use what you play (style), what you don't like about Les Pauls and so on and you'll get informed opinions.

thank you - I have a friend who is looking at a new Japanese Duo Jet and I said: "you should consider a Bluesbird and maybe put some TV Jones pickups on it". I see that the ones from the 60s have trapeze tailpieces and later ones have stop tailpieces. Am I correct in observing that the trapeze tailpiece guitars are totally hollow and the later models are chambered?

Are there 2 basic types - totally hollow and chambered?

what I don't like about Les Pauls is that they are too small and too heavy - I bought a Johnny A Model for that reason -- and it's scale length -- (and put TV Jones pickups on it).

Actually. I believe the M-75 (Bluesbird) went from Hollow, to Semi-Solid, to Solid, to Chambered. It all depends on the year.

Classics with this control scheme: one master volume, one volume for each pickup and one Tonestyler switchable for either pickup

Hi,welcome Bob!
I don't think there is one. In any case, this is the BEST place for that kind of info. Real owners here. Also the guy who wrote "The Guild Guitar Book" is a member here.
Volume 1 which covers up to '78 is being re-printed and should be readily available now, or very soon (like 60 days?). Volume 2 just had a publishing deal closed and we hope it will be available very soon.
Keep checking in, lots of guys are happy proud to share what they know about their guitars.
One thing about Guild, it sounds like you've already figured it out, it seems like they couldn't keep making the same thing more than 3 or 4 years running.

Hello adorski,

Just for the record, I negotiated a reprinting deal with Hal Leonard for the first book. I did not close a publishing deal for Volume 2, because I don't have to. I'm the author and I will also be the publisher, just like the first book.
I hope that the reprint of Part I will be available soon, but I don't know yet when Part II will be coming out.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Blame me for trying to simplify  . Thought you had mentioned Volume 2 was ready to print (not going to print, just "ready") at the same time you announced the reprint of Vol. 1, but I found that thread, and see I was wrong.
Is there a printing deal, or can you say?

Didn't you recently announce though, that Volume 2 was going to go to print (which is what I meant by "publish")? (Although the date was still uncertain)

Sorry but no, I didn't. I only mentioned the reprinting deal with Hal Leonard, which is for Part I.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust
