Found someone selling a case stating, "For D38 Only".

I can't even find any information on a D38.

I'm wondering if it's true or if a D25 or the likes would actually fit in it?

Anyone have the required ingredients to perform a little experiment for me?

I love it when people make up new models! Or is it a case for the Dunlop D-38 model guitar strap?

Where did you see this for sale?

Online. I want to keep my cards close to the chest for now because it's a steel and I might need it.

1) If it's online you should be able to send the seller a message asking for more information.

2) If you post threads like this in the ebay/craigslist/gbase section only LTG'ers will be able to see it and we won't snake you if we know you're considering buying it.

"D-38" is a new one on me... but until Hans completes vol II, there isn't a good source of info for the explosion of models post '90s (Beesley's book covers to the mid-90s, but the nfo is pretty spartan).

I have yet to buy any cases on-line... Tho' I have looked at a lot. I am worried about the case not fitting well, and figure that, by the time I pay shipping, an on-line purchase will cost as much as anything I could find here in town.

When looking for cases, consider that the Guild headstock is larger than most other acoustic headstocks. In many cases (pun intended), you need to go for the 6/12-string model (that is certainly true in the TKL cases) to get one long enough.

I think there have been a couple posts regarding "Silver Creek"cases sold by Musicians Friend.... either here, the AGF, or UMGF. I think someone had one for a D-25 and it fit alright?

Don't know who made the case my D-25 came in.
It's a solid plywood case but the guitar didn't sit quite right.
After strumming the strings, they would still ring after closing the lid.

I raised the neck support so the guitar fit right and branded it with a home-made stencil.

Life is good! :D

D-38? Huh?

I knew a girl once who was a 38D, perhaps the seller is thinking of her?

Guitar Center is who had the case. Only wanted $30 for it.
Called them up and talked to a salesman and asked him
to see if a D25 or a D4 or something would fit in it.
Their computer show them having it but he
couldn't find it anywhere.
