If you’ve heard of the Darwin Awards, you’ll know the reference.
I follow a couple of “luthiers” FB groups, but don’t engage too often in them because they are populated by people like this. The name has been obscured to protect the clueless.

This was their second post, hence the last sentence. I don’t think they’ll be any happier with the responses this time around. Most of them were saying it can’t be done because of the truss rod and they’d be better off building a new neck. The original poster kept asking why and saying they couldn’t build from scratch. At which point people started chiming in with the fact that if they can’t make a new neck, then they really don’t have the skills to do a near impossible, complicated mod.

But the real reason I don’t get involved in these posts is that there’s always some clown who’ll respond, “Sure, go ahead, give it a go.” And that’s the one they’ll listen to and end up destroying their only guitar (the reason they want to do it to a Fender).

Actually not a problem at all and the TR doesn't extend past the nut but just a bit.

Anchor the strings up top and put tuners on the bottom of the guitar, it's already been done a plenty in many different ways.

Snark just seems to be a prevalent feature on the net these days, asking people anything at all is just asking for it.
