DCE1 Sound Port

So a year or two ago, I installed a Fishman Rare Earth Single Coil in my DCE1, because the electronics were sketchy, and I love Fishman sound hole pickups. The whole time though, I kept the barn door electronics installed, but not wired to the jack. Tonight I decided to pull all that out, including the under saddle pickup, which made for a perfect action adjustment. I have now come to know just how much I appreciate a sound port! It's amazing. You hear so much better and I'm singing better with the guitar, because I can hear so well. Now to find some kind of trim to make it look prettier.

I've played my DCE3 with the mini-barn door open (it's the type that swings out to change the battery). It definitely changes the sound, but I can't say if it's better... just different. I usually end up closing it and continue playing.
