I've been going round and round with this dude in Gramercy Park (Manhattan) about a '75 D40 he advertised on CL. It needed some work, but I can do the work and it had the potential for being a great deal.
I had a buddy who works nearby trying to track him down and set up a time to meet, and the guy was pretty flakey. Finally today we heard back that he'd sold it already.
Just curious if it was one of you guys who managed to land the deal. I kind of want to know the rest of the story.
