Is the estimate for insurance purposes or are you looking to sell it or trade it?

I am not planning to sell it, It should be for insurance company and also because I would like to know where should I keep it for now. If in my flat or more secure space.

Thank you!

For insurance purposes you may need to hunt down some sold prices for DV72, DV73’s which are essentially the same and a little more common, but just with different colored inlays. I see those sell in the $2500-3000 range in excellent condition. For insurance replacement purposes probably $3500-4000 for your 74. However, the insurance company may want some comparable proof of value, which will be difficult because there aren’t many sold prices to compare. People sometimes “ask” stupid money for these DV7x’s so you may find higher priced ones for sale. That would be good if your company is Ok with asking prices as proof.

If you are not a player and storing it, realize that propper humidification and not subjecting it to extreme temperature fluctuation is essential.

Good advice. I would also de-tension the strings if you're not playing it.

I'm going to agree with @HeyMikey here and say easily $3500 and up. Everything depends on condition, which includes neck angle, action height, and saddle height. And as @twocorgis mentions, if long term storage is anticipated, lower the string tension some. These DV-7x's are killer guitars and they sound amazing. The 74 is more rare than the 72's and 73's. But other than trim colors, not really that different. They're super nice guitars. (y)(y)

That’s a cool letter Lucas. Thanks for sharing. I had a DV72 and it was a great guitar, but dreads are too big for me personally. If you do decide to sell it please offer it here first knowing that it will be very much appreciated and well cared for.

Don’t all the special models share the same DV72 serial numbers? Or am I thinking if something else?
