The soft case that came with my OM from WalMart is pretty stiff and well padded.

It may even fit my F30.

We probably don't make the distinction between "soft case" and "gig bag" that perhaps we should if the focus is on protection.
Yes. My only guitar that leaves the house is a Taylor. It's hs case is just too heavy (at this point in my life) to be hauling around. I carry the guitar in a padded "soft case" that I feel is pretty safe.

I bought a used little round neck Fender resonator to take to the beach. The extra volume really helps in the great outdoors in a noisy place like the beach with waves breaking noise.

I started taking my D46 on road trips, recently two different occasions to Palm Springs, and to local jams. I love that guitar, the ash just a really pleasing tone to my ears, and same here, my buddy loves how it cuts through. I’ll keep bringing it to jams, however for being my road dawg, I think it will be replaced by the brand new to me M120e, so far that little thing is pretty sweet and it’s so tiny compared to the Dreads, takes up less space and because the soft case pseudo hard case has back pack shoulder straps it will just be easier to drag that along everywhere.

P.S. Edit to say I’m so enamored with the cherry finish I upgraded my avatar to show it off
