It's Quacker with a Blender, but what do you lose in the process?
I had a Tele with 4 way, and one with a blend, and at the end of the day, I just wanted a tone control and even liked the wooly neck tone through some very bassy cap (the way old AVRI Teles shipped), because I could play bass on it good enough to pass. I always thought that's what Leo was going after, sounding like a bass on the neck pickup.
The problem with the other wiring schemes is I didn't like any of those tones that much, and rather than getting other assemblies, I sold the Teles off.
