Does anyone have a 1970 or early 70's F112 with Grover tuners? Please post pictures of yours, whether Grover or Guild.
Thanks

Cool! Wow I’ve never seen strip tuners like that. Must be very old. Looks like the valve covers on a ’69 Chevelle we had. Im pretty sure they’re not original though. I can see the marks at the strip bottoms where the normally shaped strip tuners were seated. Do they work good?

No there are 3 that are fubar. I just wondered if they were an optional thing in 1970 after the factory moved. I did see a set on ebay several years ago for $300.
Would love to see pics from other owners of F112s from that era.

I've seen those style tuners on some old Martin 12-strings (D12-20; D12-35), but not on any Guild that I can recall.

Don't think those Grover 'SlimLines' are the original tuners for that guitar. Actually, you can see the 'footprints' of the Japanese strip tuners at the ends of the Grover units.

Guild did some experiments with Grover 'SlimLine' tuners on a few 6-string models towards the end of the '60, but I don't think they were used on any of the 12-strings.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust
