hi guys, im wondering if anyone out there can shed any light on a model f4 nthr for me. i cant find much info out there. according to f.m.i.c., it is really an f4cehg. by the specs, everything about the guitar is subject to change without notice at any time. they said that the list price (im assuming this is a 2002 by s.n.) was 1500.00. im wondering what the value is now in v.g.c. any info on this unit would be welcome as i am a little bit confused by the model no. on the sticker in the body. thanks for looking!

Hello mrwizer,

Welcome!

To the best of my knowledge an F4-CE-HG from 2002 shouldn't exist. If you give me the complete serial number, I can tell you what it is that you have and where and when it was made.

Sincerely,

s.n. is af042637

Hello again,

If the model designation is F4-CE-HR it means it has a 'hand rub' finish. An F-4CE-HG should have a 'high gloss' finish.

Your F4-CE-HR with serial # AF042637 is from 1998 and consequently it was made in Westerly, RI.
At that time the 'hand rubbed' finished version of the F4-CE retailed for $ 1199.99.
I do not appraise guitars that I'm not actually holding in my hands but in the recent past I've seen guitars like that sell for around $ 600.00 depending on condition, so that should give you an idea.

Hope this answers your questions.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust
