Hello,
My brother has a 1972 Guild F47 and has lost part of the headstock inlay. I’d like to find a replacement part for his birthday. He is the original owner of the guitar. Really nice one, though could benefit from a neck reset. You can see the part that’s missing. Any help would be appreciated. He always said my 1974 Guild F 30 sounded better, but I don’t believe him! Thanks. 81A7625D-AADE-4F37-812B-D28B7204B420.jpeg

F30!, that is indeed a lost piece of inlay. I doubt you'll find a drop-in replacement for it anywhere (I hope you do)... but I'm sure there are some luthiers out there who could cut a piece of mother-of-pearl to go in there and then lacquer over it. Good luck with the hunt.

Might be worth contacting Hans to see if he has a lonely chesterfield inlay that needs a good home!

Chesterfield headstock inlays do show up on eBay every now and then, but I didn't see one there currently. If Hans can't help, you might check with some of makers of custom inlay TRCs:

They might be able to cut you the inlay from a scaled photo or tracing of the "hole." You would then need to find someone to install it...

Thank you for the responses. I thought about contacting a luthier. I could do the install. I live 45 minutes from Elderly Instruments in Lansing, Mi., They have an excellent repair shop. I will keep looking as well.
