I like the gold Nightbird-esq bridge and stop tail. I didn’t love my Setzer Bluesbird but might like that one more.

Gosh, that is a really cool Bluesbird! I love the "root beer" color (excellent, lungimsam! :) ) with the flame!

Put me in line behind Hans for anyone who doesn’t like those knobs. I love ‘em and the real deal is very hard to find.

The stop on that Bluesbird is different from any version I ever saw on a Guild. Nice color. The maple version of the 80's Bluesbird are great looking guitar. Usually they have a Kahler trem installed.

Wow. Guild basses we’re expensive back then. What is a “fat control” and why was it 100$? I am guessing it was just a potentiometer or switch of some kind?

That was for the EMG equipped guitars.

Looks like a 2 piece body.
Looks to me like the body is "book matched" which means they cut a large blank in half and put them together like a book. Therefore the grain is opposite on the right ten it is on the left. The grain then reflects the light differently giving it a two tone appearance.
