Greetings all as I am new here. I am looking for the favorite Guild Retailers that people here have gotten good prices from and customer service as well as having received well packed and safely shipped Guitars. Well setup would be a bonus! I am looking for a GUILD GAD 30R Natural with no electronics. I will probably add my own later as usually you can get better electronics that way. I am looking for one that is not stamped "used". If someone is looking to sell theirs and it is mint I would love to hear about it as well. Financially things are very tight for me right now and I am amazed at the amount of Guitar you get in a GAD. I played one that was well setup and it just sang! I hope that is more the norm than a fluke I think Guild make some great Guitars and I look forward to being a part of this community. I have been an active member of the Acoustic Guitar Forum (AGF) for about 4 years and have learned so much there. I have also bought and sold a lot of Guitars and Equipment/Accessories there and on Ebay. I figured what better place to learn about Guild Guitars and talk to others who love Guild Guitars then here!

What are you looking to spend on one? One of the dealers around here has had some marked down quite a bit. I'll check his current price for a new GAD-30R (one of the best Chinese deals around IMO - every one I've played has impressed me, some a LOT).

Anyone else with ideas/experiences with Guild dealers? I really need your help. A Mint Used GAD 30R in Natural would also be an excellent score! If someone is looking to sell. Thank You! :)

Thank You So Much Dave! I am looking to save as much as possible. I am starting over so to speak. I had to sell all my Guitars/Equipment and Accessories due to financial/family needs. I will make starting over fun! Gotta' live in today, make tentative plans for tomorrow, as yesterday has passed.

Definitely talk to Bing K (Guitars of Montana).

There's always GADs available on eBay. If you're looking for minimal expense, you might look at one of the reclaimed (USED) models out there. There were a big flood of these recently on the bay.

I heard a few different horror stories about these GAD-30R Guitars with "used" stamped on the back of the headstock. For example here is just one. The Guitar arrived in a timely manner. The buyer got a smoking deal but the Guitar had serious issues. Expensive to repair. The box was perfect. True? I don't know but I want a nice easy transaction with an upstanding retailer or person so I can begin to let some of the music out that is welling up inside of me... I will definitely talk to Bing K. Thank You My Friend... :)

Have you noticed they are on sale at Musician's Friend now?

$759.99 shipped to your door. That is a pretty good price! Although, I think the local store I mentioned might sell it for less, but then you'd have to pay shipping (unless you live in the SF Bay area).

If you can live with a burst, Spruce Tree Music in Madison, Wis., has a very good one. Came quite close to trading in my GAD-30 in mahogany for it, but decided I like mahogany better overall. This one has electronics, but it is a screaming deal, as it's pre-price increase.

PS: you won't find better service or better set up than at Spruce Tree.

Can't go wrong with the fine folks at Spruce Tree. I always try to stop in there when I go to Madison, and buy something whether I need it or not.
