Forum Images Gone- Something change on the server?

All of a sudden I have no images for the forum... Text is fine, but not even the banner at the top of the page is displayed.
Happening on every browser I have, despite restarts? I have changed no settings at all.

Did some aspect of the server change? I have java fully enabled.

Using a Macbook Pro.

Images are just fine on my iPad! Other forums working just fine... AGF, Martin (unofficial)...

Insights from the tech endowed?

They show up fine for me, using Chrome at home, worked with Firefox at work today, too.

This happened to me the last time there was a server outage. I think it had something to do with your browser's preferences file. I recall having to delete and rebuild it, but can't remember exactly.

You might want to delete/empty the temporary files in your Internet Explorer or whatever browser you use.
But all shows up normal in IE9 that I use.

Yep I think I remember Frono speaking in his favorite tongue (the PC jargon) and explaining to a similar victim after the previous crash that he needed to clear all the caches in his PC and restart.

I've emptied everything and restarted umpteen times... I still have nothing on Chrome, Safari or Camino.

I give up.

For the record, there is almost no image data stored at LTG, the exception being avatars. So if an image in a post that used to appear is no longer there, it could be a problem with the image hosting service. Or it may be that the owner of the image just deleted it from the hosting service.

Usually this kind of thing is not an LTG problem and things like cleaning the cache or logging out and back in to LTG will resolve the issue. If diagnosing this is desired then we need to start with an image that you cannot see and someone else can.

I'm using Windows and Firefox, and I can see Joe's "face" fine...

I use Photobucket and they recently changed their format.

When they did that, it dumped every pic I had on various Forums!

ugh, I know recent, uploaded pictures get new IMG tags, but did the old ones get jettisoned? We have many, many links to photobucket pictures here on LTG.

[edit: so I am not seeing this problem. The old-style IMG URLs still seem to work, at least through LTG: see this old thread... my pictures are from several years ago:]
