Never seen one of these in person:
Looks like it may be a Bass Amp seeing as though Jim played bass.

If I recall correctly that version cab is pretty deep and the top and bottom have a flat baffle board that holds the 15" speaker and it folds back into the cab to form a horn type shape. May have been referred to in the day as a bass reflex can. Actually a pretty cool design. Those cabs were used by Billy Cox with the Band of Gypsy at the Filmore East for bass low-end. Interestingly, in searching for a picture of the Filmore Guild Quantum cabs I found two other photos where Hendrix is playing in front of smaller Guild Bass cabs that had 2-15 in a front baffle design. Never saw that before! One of the pictures even served as an advertisement. The chances of that cab not being a Marshall is pretty rare. I have seen pictures of Hendrix in front of Fender Bass Man or Bandmaster caps and Sunn cabs but this the first time I observer Guild cabs. Likely just stage sound related can or equipment from another band. Still it's a new find.
