Welcome jbretter. According to Guild's notoriously inconsistent dating chart, serial 3000-4000 were manufactured in 1956. That's as close as we can get, unless Hans chimes in.

Any pics? I have a thing for Hoboken X175s 8)

The current Vintage Guitar Price Guide pegs these at $1,700 to 2,350, but that assumes it's original and in excellent condition, which most 1950's guitars aren't.

Hello jbretter,

Welcome! As twocorgis already pointed out, your X-175 has a 1956 serial number, but quite a few X-175s from this period are actually conversions of older models that were no longer part of the Guild line. Basically they were 'dressed up' superstructures of earlier models and because of that they do not always conform to the factory specs. of that particular model for that particular period.

I need to see a clear front and back photo to give you more information.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust
