I’ve been following Dr. Ng’Umbi Nickson Hassanally in Tanzania for a while on Facebook. He’s quite an amazing and passionate human being. He’s serving his community as a University graduate in the field of veterinary medicine, to help keep the much needed animal herds healthy in the region. He also does work with the National parks and animal preserves. When he’s not doing all that, he plays music for the people there and provides music in the church. I’ve seen him play piano, harmonica, acoustic and electric guitar and bass guitar. Very accomplished. He’s always played a Guild acoustic mostly. He loves to play and sing blues and pretty good at it. He always said that his dream guitar was an emerald green Guild Starfire. Someone on the FB Guild forum just gifted him one from Sweetwater. He is so proud of that Guild. He only has a motorcycle so he carries his gear on his motorbike. He plays through an old Roland JC55 guitar amp. So thanks to Dr. Ng’Umbi Nickson Hassanally, we even have Guilds in the remotest parts of the earth. “Made to be Played”

That's very cool! Guild should be using him in their marketing!

Simply to acknowledge the thread title theme, member 6L6 took his D40 to McMurdo Sound in Antarticta. :)
Thta definitively beats me transporting my F512 through Trans-Siberian-Railway 😂 - I wonder if that russian young couple ever recovered of having played it . . .

Anyway - Dr. Ng’Umbi Nickson Hassanally in Tanzania seems like an extremely fine person - wish him all the best. 🐾 🥁 🎸 ☮️
