Hi, I just came across this great forum while doing some searching for things Guild related, and decided to join up. I own a Guild D240e Limited Edition that I just absolutely love. I got a great deal on it a couple of years or so ago from a dealer in Tulsa, OK during Covid. (That may have had something to do with the great price!) I play at church and occasionally do some jamming with like minded folks when time allows. At some point in the hopefully near future I want to acquire an all solid Guild as well.

Welcome to LTG! Pull up a chair and stay a while. The Westerly line of acoustics certainly has a high bang for the buck factor. Glad you're enjoying yours! And if you get a chance post some pix of your D240. We love photos!

This group has no trouble helping you to spend money... wait, helping you "in the hopefully near future acquire an all solid Guild"

When I joined, I didn't have a Guild, I don't think. Just in the question asking phase.

Here she is in her satiny glory! The pictures of the guitar that Tulsa Band & Guitars had posted on Reverb were what hooked me. The fact that I was able to drive just a short distance to try it out for myself sold me. As a laminated or layered guitar, I knew it would never be as loud as an all solid wood guitar. However, if I need it real loud, I can just plug it into my amp!

Welcome!

There are a lot of very knowledgeable, helpful folks here. I've learned alot from them and you probably will too.

Discourse is almost always civil and friendly.

Enjoy!

You are now infected with GAS. All of us have had or continue to relapse. Welcome and you won't be disappointed with the vast knowledge of Guild instruments as well as the Guild company history found here. Member stories and music abound too.

Oh, I've been infected with GAS for over 40 years! It's just that my wants are starting to get very expensive! Years ago in the early to mid '80s I bought a 1976 Les Paul Standard from Larry Briggs at the legendary Strings West in Tulsa, OK. I wish I had kept it, because it would be worth a LOT of money now. It was just so darn heavy.
