I opened the windows in my guitar room today as the temp is mid-70s, and... oh my... my hygrometer is measuring about 30% RH !! My humidifier was not up to it. It's super dry outside (obviously).

I love to welcome spring when it comes, but I've closed the windows in that part of the house and that will let the humidifier get things back to nominal.

Oh well. :)

While mine seems to be about ten points higher than yours, that is why I Oasis use in-case humidifiers, which seem to be keeping things well above 40%...as reported by my high tech  D'Addario "Humiditrak" metering...I keep one humidifier in either the sound hole or the body compartment, and one in the headstock area. No fret sprout yet! ;)

Now...just over an hour later, our temp here has dropped from 72° F to 59° F outside, and 29% humidity! WTF! 9 more points and the state will issue a "Red Flag" forest fire alert..."Expect unusual fire behaviour and conditions."

My in-case humidity has dropped from 45% to 35%! (I checked it before I made my last post). Welcome to weather in New England.

My only gripe w/ humidity is getting rid of it. We're currently at a comfortable 64% in Md, but I am dreading the typical summer days of 90 degrees w/ 80% humidity. Ugh! My AC's condensation pipe runs like a faucet all summer. Thankfully most of my guitars are solidbody electrics. My 2 acoustics will just have to fend for themselves. My comfort trumps theirs! 😉

My hygrometer has fluctuated from 40%-60% since I got it back in February. Depending on if rainy day or not it seems. I keep it on the desk right under where my basses hang on the wall.
Only my Gibson bass has had fret sprout first year I had it. It was so bad I had to file it down but it was easy and fun to do. Nowadays it might peek thru a little in winter but goes away come springtime. Hopefully none of my other basses gets it. They are all pretty old (7-20 years) so I guess their wood has settled enough.
