Hello,
I am new to the group and am hoping to get some help identifying this Guild Acoustic Guitar that I own. I have attached some photo's. The serial # is hard to read but I think it's GE560826.Not 100% positive. There's a Blue stamp inside the chamber that reads: MAR 6 - 1991 or 1981. It's also hard to read. Any thoughts on what Model # this is? Year? I purchased this pre-owned back in the late 90's.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Mastro

Welcome to LTG!
That is one of the models where the published Guild serial number list is incorrect, so it is no help. But as the date seems to be March 1991, and awagner confirmed what he has, I think that is a 1991 made guitar.

Wow! Thanks for the quick and helpful responses everyone! The guitar has been sitting in the case for most of the last 15+ years. Needs some binding repair along the neck and from where you can see on the top of the head-stock. I will look into getting the repairs made and then might sell it.

Owner of GF55056 here. It looks like the serial number on the headstock has been over-struck with the correct number. To me the last 3 digits are "125" which is more in tune with the number of GF55's constructed. I have never heard exactly how many GF55's were made, but heard it was less than 150.

That is a GF55 from 1991. They ran a JF55 and then a less common GF55 which had a narrower bout but were otherwise similar. Very nice guitar you have there.
