Oh man, the Starfire III-90 in cherry is awesome. I'm in LA, so it might be a long shot, but I'll reach out. I'd have a hard time paying $1800 for a guitar built in the 90s, but they are so rare...hmmm...thanks for the heads up!

No problem, Mine was actually made in 2003 at the Corona California plant. Only made guitars there for 2003 and 2004. As much as it pains me I may be putting mine on the market shortly. If I do I'll definitely let you know. It is the model with the Seymour Duncan Antiquity P90's from the factory. It sounds Awesome but I may have to trim my collection a bit.

Please let me know if you decide to sell it! I promise to take it to Corona to see its birthplace and play it all over the world, haha. Thanks!

What started this whole thought process was two things: 1) My '66 Starfire IV is one of the best guitars I've ever played (I've used it almost exclusively on the road for 2 years) and 2) I played a 90s Starfire III with P90s that I should have bought. Haven't seen one since.

i passed one of those up before and would love one now :)

By the way, the Craigslist post is down

Hey Mike, are looking for guitars like these? Both of these in the pic are my P90 babies. There is a Starfire III-90 for sale on New Jersey CL for $1800. It has been listed for at least 6-8 months at that price. I don't know where you are located but Here is the link if that is what you are looking for. Hope this helps and Welcome to LTG!

Actually, that ad has been around for years. I emailed him at one point, respectfully pointing out that I'd be happy to buy his guitar if his price was more realistic. No reply. Maybe he's seeing the light, but somehow I doubt it.

Maybe he has had it listed long enough now that time and prices are catching up with what he wanted originally. I have looked online and There was a brick and mortar shop in California that had one for $2,000 and it sold about 6 months ago. Also there was one listed on Reverb a Year ago for $1700 + $60 shipping and it sold. Prices have been going up lately.
