Is it possible to take the bigsby off a CE-100D and put on a tailpiece?

I might want to get the newark street CE-100D but I don't want the bigsby. This actually applies to the Starfire III too. Can't decide between the SF III, SF IV ST, and the CE-100D. Anyways, it is possible to take the bigsby off and put on a tail piece for these guys?

The Guildsby used on the NS CE100 is the same design as the Bigsby B3 - in which case there shouldn't be any screws attaching it to the top of the guitar - only the four screws attaching it around the strap pin. So...you should be able to swap it out for a Harp tailpiece without any ugly holes on the body. But... the Guildsby holes are likely in a different place the harp taipiece holes around the strap end pin. They might be covered by the plate - or might be showing. In any case - send Guild an e-mail and let them know what you want to do. They will be able to confirm which tailpiece is the closest match (they sell the SF IV and A150 tailpieces as aftermarket parts on their website). Or... you could just get the SFIV stop tail and no need to do any mods ;-)
