Late at night, and you look at a guitar you’ve been playing, caressing, coaxing for the last hour … in this case an F30.. and you think. ‘Thank you!’ Magic of Guild.

Beautiful Wild Maple grain and that white binding really compliments that gorgeous stain tone. Wow! The more I see these Maple Guilds the more I'm considering making room in my guitar case storage area. How are the Arch back bodies to hold when sitting? I haven't held one for so long I don't remember. Also, Is an F30 got the same bout dimensions as a J50?

Not to cloud the waters on this thread ,I was just on ebay and there are 6 Ash D46 Guilds from 4 different sellers.

Looks to me like an F-50. I didn't know the maple F-30 existed. Also I didn't know any F-30 archback existed. Probably later than the years I know.

Looks to me like a total of TWO ash D 46 Guilds on e-bay; one picture used 4x with four different prices from the same seller in Japan , and another picture used 2x with two different prices from the same seller in Germany.
All at 2k and up. Good luck with that.

I'm not sure how the dimensions compare, but I got my JF30 when I was actually looking for a smaller body guitar than a dreadnought I had a D25(still do!) I fell in love with the JF30; I had to have it even though it was a jumbo. I find it very comfortable

Not an F-30, but most likely the 16” 1987 GF-30 in the OP’s signature!

There wasn't. It's a typo, it's a GF30, next size up body, 16" wide lower bout.

You really meant the GF30 in your sig, right? ;)

JF30=17" lower bout like F50, GF30=16" lower bout like F40.

ALL GF models are 16" lower bout.

Yeah sorry everyone… late night moment also meant late night lack concentration! GF30 it is! (And a wonderful sounding guitar!)
I claim temporary insanity as I rehearse two new ensembles for first concerts shortly (and the GF30 in use for one of them!) The long rehearsal hours are starting to get to me…😵‍💫

GF30's are highly refined F40's in my opinion. I can never forgive Cordoba for abandoning the platform. Except that I'm on a search for the ideal shortscale version and rosewood body, it'd be on my "gotta get one" list. And if storage wasn't an issue, I'd get one anyway. Got an F65ce though, which is a near cousin. ;)

Is there something that fits that bill, Al?
Not outta Guild. Ever. closest would have been late westerly F47Rce, but that had 25-5/8 scale.
All the shortscale "Grand Auditorium" moels that came with short scale were spec'd with 1-5/8" nuts. Already have that on the F65ce and frankly I tolerate it because I love her voice, but I'm really most comfortable with a 1-11/16.

Over the years, having asked members who have or just got one, have never seen one with anything else. Those necks were unique in having a full 24-fret scale, nothing else like 'em in Guild-land.
