King Salmon

Good numbers of 30-40 pound King Salmon are in the creek behind the post office right now. They're pooling beneath the footbridge and taking on the falls to head upstream.

Not all of them make it to the falls.

Oh yeah, Coho and steelhead are also in the creek and pinks and chum are on the way. It's going to be a crowded creek.... soon. 8)

Joe we have plenty of that here as you can imagine. I'm curious was that the ONE day of sun you have a year? :lol: :lol: Ha Ha Just kidding. I know your Summers are tremendous, just too short for me. I like Summer 12 months a year!!

Did you catch em? How? Trolling a lure? Fly casting from the bank? How do you prefer to cook it? Or do you smoke it in a smoker?

Spent most of the Summer of '78 in Northern Ca surfing and enjoying the varied herbal essence. :shock: 8) At that time in my life I didn't think about food, my only concern was keeping warm while surfing (in my wet suit) and great whites.

I'm just the photographer on site....not fishing anywhere near here!

I prefer a quiet river/creek bend upstream. It gets a little crowded at the mouth. :lol:
