I think this one has a couple issues that you will need to deal with... the most concerning to me is the crack from the fretboard to the soundhole, above the pickguard. It doesn't look like it has shifted much (or at all). But, if left unattended, with time, the string tension could pull the neck into the body. This one will need to be glued and reinforced, and the braces in that area should be checked and reglued, if needed. Also, the end-pin is not a place one usually finds finish checking... I'd worry that the guitar has been dropped on its end-pin, and that the side and endblock are actually split. I don't think either of these should be expensive repairs... perhaps <$150 for both (if the end block is even split), and maybe a bit more to re-glue the binding. It's not a showpiece, but as long as you figure these costs in when bidding, you could end up with a great player. Dave

Thanks Gaurdman. Once again the gang comes through... protecting us innocent newbies. It sounds like too much of a beater, and since I haven't played it there are to many risks involved. Ahhh, if it was a sunburst, maybe... Bob
