Yeah, I know many of you won't care for this at all and that's ok, we all have our opinions. It's based on the Martin D 16 model with a Solid Sitka Spruce top and solid 2 piece Mahogany back and sides, a scale length od 25.4" and nut width of 1 11/16:.

I bought this one a while back and hadn't played it all that much. I've been playing it lately at open mic settings and it seems to get quite a reaction from many, both players and listeners. It's a mixed reaction but I'd say likely about 90% of the comments are positive. Most negative comments come from players who prefer a more standard look to their gear. I understand that.

I'm taking it up today to a local Luthier to have a LR Baggs Anthem installed.

I think it was a special run of 20 units or so for Sam Ash.
"Sam Ash Music ...created this limited edition, custom run of special-built guitars. The guitar honors the Statue of Liberty and America’s Independence Day (note the famed 4th of July fireworks surrounding the great statue). It also celebrates a great American institution—C.F. Martin Guitar Co.
New York is actually the birthplace of C.F. Martin Guitars in America—their home before moving to Nazareth, PA. On a related note, New York City (Good ole’ Brooklyn) is also the birthplace of Sam Ash Music. The Ltd. Ed. Martin “Lady Liberty” has no political agenda—it’s just an image of freedom.
The Martin D-16 that Lady Liberty is built upon is a pro-level, all-solid wood Martin guitar, bound to be one of tomorrow’s collectables. It is flashy. And maybe the marriage of graphic and guitar is not for everyone—but if it was, it couldn’t be art. True art is never intended for all people to love

Yeah, I remember when you got this Richard and commented how I don’t care for the painted tops. However, when I see this one it gives me a nice feeling. I would proudly play it and display it. Enjoy.
