On my watch list, but probably won't stay in range.

You like at the seller's other items, and they're like a guitar chop shop.

Exactly, another guy who parts out guitars. Not exactly a punish-able crime, but I still don't like it.

Agreed. Nor do I, Walter. Like a classic car, a guitar can only be original once.

Shame it's been striped, I didn't see the parts for sale in his store? I'm seeing $500.00 or better in parts to put it back together with correct parts. That plus labor, it will need to stay under $200.00 to even begin to peek my interest. Other than that, it looks like a do-able project.
I doubt it will go anywhere near that low.

Now this hankeroo guy starts to post the parts of the Starfire IV:
The pickguard:

Only one humbucker:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GUILD-HUMBUCKIN ... 27bf730c63
The bridge: Amazing he did not sell that one in pieces as well...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-GUILD-T ... 2568ab05c7
The 4 knobs:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GUILD-KNOBS-196 ... 27bf730dc9
The wiring harness (without the switch, also don't see the output jack):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dl ... 0625314137

Sad to see people taking guitars apart just to maximize their profit. I mean, give me a break, he even sells the most smallest pieceparts and takes the original wireing harnesses apart:

I mean how much more profit can one really make stripping and selling parts from a guitar? Are they trying to do this for a living? Maybe some things or instances obviously, but you have to physically take the parts off, take the time to list them, answer questions, packing, shipping and fees. Unless you had a warehouse full of hard to find and/or vintage parts it just wouldn't seem worth my time, not to mention the mortal sin aspects to it  .

It definitely stinks, but the truth of the matter is that he's likely to double his profit this way. :?

The guitar body went for $406.
The pickguard is at $71 currently.
All other parts are "not longer available".
