Just wanted to post a nice family photo of my Guilds; L to R: 1959 X-550, 1955 X-50 and 1977 Artist Award. Also looking to see if there are any other Guild hollowbody players that play and love jazz.

Wow is right! Such beautiful archtops. Color me green. How would you compare the sound coming out of each?

You have excellent taste! I don't play Jazz, but I enjoy a lot of pre-bebop Jazz and Swing guitar. But you don't want to hear my attempts at that style...😁

Beautiful group of guitars!
I don't play jazz (I can butcher 'Chitlins con Carne'), but love old archtop electrics. They work for other styles, too! ;)

I can almost hear the sweet tunes coming from that warm space. Thanks for sharing!
I am a hack compared with any real jazz player, but I love to play and admire the masterful progressions of the standards.
An Artist Award is my bucket list guitar but my X-500 and Nightbird do a fine job and I like to play jazz on all my guitars including the basses, acoustic steel and nylon and the Detonator with 9's!!
