Is that a Guild headstock I see on CC's guitar too?
Nice to see Kim break out the natural for a video!

Hi Alan - there's a glimpse of the front of Cornell's headstock in the video, does not seem to be a Guild... Anyone know what it is?

he has played Gibsons in the past.

I am so happy to see Soundgarden back in action. And to get a title song on a big summer movie.

Thanks, walrus. Great that The Avengers movie is Guild-fueled by Soundgarden (a complimentary veer from AC/DC [Iron Man series]). Now, I really, really want to see it! :)

If you liked the comics, you should check out the animated series. I checked it out on whim late last year and was very pleasantly surprised.
They recreated the whole "Captain America on ice" story arc amazingly well.
Art and scripting are excellent and truly capture the flavor of Marvel's silver age. It's on DXD, (or Hub), which are part of the basic DirecTV package. Usually early morning Saturday/early evening Sunday, but they tend to shift it around on the schedule.
Worth searching for if you have those channels.
Almost as good is the "Superhero Squad Show". Favorite visual gag is that Doctor Doom's castle is in the shape of Rick Griffin's famous flying eyeball. (itself lifted from von Dutch)

On netflix as well. That is one of the best scripted Marvel cartoons ever. Hulk Smash!

One of the scenes that sucked me in in the first season was Captain America giving Iron Man some lessons in the basics of hand-to-hand combat, with Hawkeye and Hulk sitting in the sidelines, watching, "for laughs". Their dialogue was magnificent.
One of the gems from the Superhero Squad featured a little tyke with a scream that caused everybody to convulse in pain...uhhh...sound familiar to any parents out there?

Just my opinion - headstock looks like Gretsch, pickups look like Dearmond Dynasonics. Two pickups, no cutaway. 50's maybe?

Saw the movie yesterday - a blast! Lots of mayhem and inter-hero banter, great storyline.

For you action hero lovers, it's highly recommended. Soundgarden plays over the closing credits, and if you wait (for a while), there's a little bonus scene at the end.

Yes indeed, quite excited about this! Live to Rise didn't grab me that much initially, but I'm liking it more the more I hear it. I'm really hoping for some all out assault on the rest of the album when it arrives!

I agree - it has been growing on me. At the movie theater, it was great, simply because the volume in the place was outrageous - good match to the movie!

Looking forward to hearing the album, for sure!
