Made it another year and a present for myself is some more bling for my DV 72!
Had a TR cover made in Turqoise and Ivory pins w/endpin in Turqoise.

I'm getting to old to keep all of my guitars. My wife wouldn't know what to do with them!!!
I will be selling some nice guitars soon.
Keep a look out for some Guilds (F 30R custom, F 50R, D 50 once owned by G Jones, F 512 SB)
and a EPI Masterbilt J 200 at a great price. Maybe more (Larrivee Tasmanian Blackwood and a Taylor 510 LTD), as I want to keep just a few
of my favs to play often.
I'm not old, but I've been around a long time!!

Nice!
Shortly after receiving my DV-72, I made a similar TRC out of faux turquoise sheet I got from StewMac. I thought it looked great (like yours!), but the material itself was VERY brittle, and the first time I removed it to adjust the truss rod, I broke it (the TRC, not the rod). I'be thought about making another... but this time I think I'll put a thin layer of epoxy on the underside, to make it a bit more durable.

Wow! What a great idea and it's really beautiful. The choice of grain on the TRC and fingerboard inserts is outstanding.
I like Native American jewelry esp hand formed silver with Turquoise.

Looking good! I’m 76 and my granddaughter is now 9 and doing great on uke. I’m hoping she’ll move to guitar within the year. I’m still breaking in the birth year guitar I bought for her (2014 Blueridge, a blingster) but am holding on to my remaining guitars for her in the future. (That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!)

Rayna just played at the uke until this year and suddenly it all came together for her. She even took her Kala Waterman on the road with her a couple of weeks ago.(By the way, the Waterman is a great first uke for a kid and now it’s her travel and outside uke.) I’ve started her in open C on the uke and will transition to standard tuning next month. Maybe you can find some simple arrangements of songs from the Barbie movie Or make up songs about her Barbies. But actually she will connect with it in her own time, make it a fun thing to do with you.

Yes, I agree.
Slow and steady, no pressure.
She has Cordoba uke and a small size hog and spruce guitar.
Hell. I didn't start playing til I was 20!
First guitar was Guild D 40 (over 50 years ago)!
