Couldnt find an "Introductions" area so thought this must be the place for one, hope Im right.
Long time guild guy here...among other brands..But Guild has always been my Acoustic of choice just took awhile to get my first one lol.
My first Guild was a X79 LTD back in the mid 80s, then I had a Aviator 212 in the late 80s.
Picked up my first Guild acoustic in the early 90s after playing a friends for awhile... a 74 F-112, a guitar I still have. I just love the "different" sound it has from other 12 strings Ive had. and most recently I've picked up a 96 DCE-1 "True American" and am presently selling/trading off my other acoustics..they were to hold me over til I could get what I wanted....well most of them..hard to justify 7 acoustics AND 15 electrics LMAO...somethings gotta give here!
I figured Im in forums that represent most of my other Gits...so I needed to be here as well :D
Got some questions about some different things, but first Ill need to do some searchs to see what has already been covered here that I can find.
well there's a hello to you all...I may not post much right off as I feel things out, but Ill be around....lurking....reading...learning... :D

Welcome, DJ! Enjoy surfing the site, I'm sure you'll find a lot of Guild facts and figures you won't see anywhere else, at least not all on one site. :D

Well, with all that said, WELCOME TO LTG!
Stick around and get the feel of the rhythm on this forum, and you'll be hooked.
Just like Guild guitars, it's very addictive, but know that you'll never be alone!

Hey DJ, welcome to the forum! Take a look around and if you don't find the answers to your specific questions, then ask away. We''ve got quite a storehouse of knowledge. Good to have you here....... :)

Good to have you aboard. DJGranite. Are you from Vermont, perhaps?

Feel free to ask away. If it's a topic that's been covered repeatedly someone will probably point you to a thread that covers the topic. More likely than not someone will chime in with an answer, and we'll all be the wiser. :D

Welcome aboard! Many of us would have no trouble justifying 7 acoustics and 15 electrics (at least to ourselves)... see here!

Welcome! Based on your choice of Guild electrics, I'm guessing you enjoy (or at least used to enjoy) heavy metal!

Thanks for the warm welcome to all :D
I will get some pics up shortly of my Guilds, I need to anyways to help find out what Binding Im going to need for the DCE..Stew Mac has so many to choose from lol
Yeah I definitely had my Heavy Metal days!
Never really bonded with the Aviator..
but I do miss the X79...stolen.. was a custom job according to Westerly when I called to get parts in 89.
and I even had it signed on the back by Jay Jay French and Mark Mendoza(Twisted Sister) "To Andy, A true SMF! Mark just put his name. Got them to sign it at a local Daddys Junky Music way back when...they were popular, come out and play tour. I guess when I walked in on my break from work wearing my beat up Army Jacket and a tool belt with a hammer on my side and my Guild in my hand he figured I was a little bit "Sick" LMAO
was cool tho..he even mention me at the concert the next night...as the SMF that carries his Guitar to work that he signed the day before while extolling the virtues of our city....TMI?
The things we think are cool in our 20's......sigh
Oh, for those interested Im in Maine...so not far off with Vermont.
Ill be posting in the Repair area when I get my pics..
And Hi right back to you all!
Andy (DJGranite)

PS Funny you should say that Darryl.. DJGranite was my "DJing" handle..in NC for 5 years 5 nights a week..I chose it because I was the "hard Rock (Granite) DJ" of the area..and the company was "Rock The Planet Productions" My friend..DJ Chris da Rock..sense a theme here?
...used the nick online then..hard to change when so much is tied to it after 10+ years..

Not sure how, but was a double post...
Move along please...nothing to see here...

Welcome.

Double posts is probably my fault. A mod has to approve the first five or so posts from a new member. Sometimes there are duplicate posts in the mod quque and not approving one has resulted in the other being deleted. Safer to approve duplicates.
