Welcome along. (all the way from New Zealand...). That's a very wide grain spruce on that top, Adirondack ?

I would like all newbies to LTG to understand, that despite rumors to the contrary, I do not dress up in silly costumes and parade before the public

Welcome to the land of Guild freaks! Real nice D40 you got there. I'll bet it sounds great. I had a similar experience. I ran across an old Guild F30 at an estate sale sitting neglected in a corner. I picked it up and immediately experienced that rare emotion - love at first strum.
