6EU7 preamp tube, thats why it isn't a mush-box...one half (approximately) of a 12AX7, what Gibson used in their amps...

It is a beautiful instrument and I love that green. I have been on a green kick lately. However, the thought of throwing down $2k in MIK when you can often find US Made $1800 - $2500 ( if you look hard enough ) doesn't sit quite right..
