Thanks for that, fearless. You're right that a few hundred either way doesn't make that much difference. If I had offered less and been refused, I probably still would have bought it. I'm just getting those "crap I just dropped a grand" second thoughts.
Of course the important thing is that the guitar feels and sounds great, and with a very different sound from anything else I have. Maybe I'll wait year for the refret so there's some spending separation. That might make me feel better.
