Not often one of these surfaces in Jolly Old! No Guildsby, repro pickguard, but great original case + docs… it just sounded a really straight guitar, and I’ve wanted one for ages! More to follow.

This wonderful guitar arrived today and is everything I’d hoped… and has to be one of the best sunbursts ever! Indeed, as jp observed it did come from Archie (who it turns out I know!) and he was incredibly fair about it all refunding a big chunk of the price difference between LTG and eBay! Awesome, feel very well treated!
The guitar is in really great shape, and with a half-round set of strings (12’s?) and without the Bigsby just becomes more Jazz.
Definitely a big one for me - thanks Archie!!
Here’s a pic as I get to know it a bit… and a pic of an awesome pair! Oh why not… make it a trio! 13.5”, 16”,17”, and 3 different sunbursts. Ah, a Guild morning!

That is a righteous collection Mapleman! I can hear John Denver singing in the background “Sunburst on my Guild makes me happy…”

Hey Jeff, thanks! I have loved Matamp for years (Peter Green sound to start, then just sheer valve (tube) brilliance!) I’ve got 2 … a 20w GT20 and this lovely First Lady at 7w, which I bought recently in North London.
The DE 400 in Jazz mode (no Guildsby) is just wonderful in front of that!

Very cool amps! I see the Matamp site says the GT 20 is discontinued and I never heard of the First Lady. That sounds interesting at 7 watts for at home (which is all I do at this time). Is that an older model or just not on their site?
