Hi All...First post, but not new to Guild guitars. I saw this and had to have it. The restoration is amazing. Patrick at New Vintage Guitars out of Canton did the work. When he got it all the parts were missing and had been painted black and clear coated including the neck. Not all original but plays, sounds and looks amazing. Over time I am going to try and get it back to its original state. For now I am just going to enjoy it.

Hi George,

I see you are a Rush fan. I saw both the 2112 tour as well as the Fly By Night. Cheep Trick opened for them, but cannot remember which tour it was.

I saw that on ebay too. it looks stunning & welcome to the forum.

Would you be looking to replace the pickups with vintage Guild HB-1s or keep it as is?

Welcome to LTG, Jett! Cool looking M-80 you got there. I remember seeing it somewhere a couple weeks before it popped up on ebay. Must've been the site where they showcased the restoration process. Yep on the facebook page of New Vintage Guitars here

Yummy 'hog grain and so glossy you can't look away :p

Hi Zelja and thanks....I am going to get it back to its original condition over time so HB-1's will be in order. It does sound good with the seymour duncan alnico ii pros. The out of phase is set up as a split coil right now.

Cool. I have an S-100 & was very surprised how useful the phase switch sounds were - lots of variance as well when you adjust either volumes a smidge.

Enjoy that guitar - she's a beauty!

There does not seem to be many of these around. Were there not that many made or do people hang onto them? Thanks......
