Ended up pulling the trigger on the D-25 I posted about. There were 8 people wanting that guitar but I was the first to inquire and they held it for me. Other than a long bottom side crack that he cleated, and a 1.5” finish crack on the other side, she’s quite clean. We have 7 hour trip home so pics will be later. I think I’m gonna be pretty happy with this addition. I’ll post some pics with it and my “famous” former train wreck F-20 tonight.

I wish you a happy future together. My first Guild was (and is) a black 1990 D25, purchased in spring 1991, and I love it to death. I've managed to keep it pretty clean, despite a ding or two, and the black still looks wonderful.

Wow! That's going the extra mile! Major congrats! Gotta love that black dread!
It was actually only two hours out of the way on an 8.5 hour trip. The 7 was the remainder after picking it up. My wife is an enabler, but not THAT much of one! 😆

O…M…G..! That finish is fantastic! Action looks really good from that angle, and the saddle is proud and tall. It appears to be original. Is the nut the same color as the saddle?

Yes it is. The action is a little high for me and my tiny hands, but a few tweaks and some different strings and she will be good to go. I told my wife I was going to name it. She suggested Mistress… 😂 So Elvira it will be.

Elvira is a perfect name for her. Glad that it all panned out. You certainly worked hard to get it. Enjoy!

Well congrats on that one. Plenty of saddle and that finish looks incredible. I'm the original owner of my D25M, purchased new in '79. They really are iconic guitars in my book. Interestingly, I happened to read just last night that one tool Cordoba brought to California from the east coast, originally from Westerly, was the arch back press. We'll see if they decide to set it up out there. A few months back I got on a roll with my guitars, setting up and checking neck relief. I'd been schooled by Collings, so I decided to tweak one of my new guitars and moved the relief just a tad after giving it the test. At that point I decided what the hell, the D25 hadn't been checked in 43 years and the neck turned out to be bowed in several thousandths of an inch, so I did the adjustment on the D25, and man did it ever make it more playable. It brought her back to life. Sometimes you don't have to take those saddles down, a little neck adjustment will do the trick. You'll love that guitar. :)
