Actually really good. They negotiated with me reasonably and shipped the guitar out pretty quickly.
Yes, they specialize in B-stock. However, I cannot see any defects on mine. Not to say there isn't. Just not obvious to my eyes. Truthfully, if I am in the sub $1k category I am looking for a deal anyhow so that bothers me none.

All this to say, they deal in pretty high volume and others might have a completely different experience.
I will say they are rated 5 stars out of 110k reviews... Not sure how accurate, but based on my experience, not bad at all.
I have certainly been tempted to buy an import Gretsch from them. Their prices are very fair, but I don't think they discount much if you make an offer. How much did they take off their asking price for you? I think I offered $50 less and they countered with $10 off, which I rejected.

Pretty cool that it worked out well for you. How did you assess the "flaws" prior to buying (or didn't you?) - did they send you pics and/or describe to you verbally or email (etc.)?

I see what I want - an F-250E jumbo "B stock" for $120 less than the going rate on non-B, but of course want to know what the alleged defect is, as I'd be OK with a non-prominent minor finish flaw. I mean I've "flawed" my other guitars myself after acquiring them, lol, and I let my son use one in his dorm room, which resulted in a pretty good "ding"... but also got him launched in playing, and he blew past me skill-wise in a minute :), so worth it!

Welcome to LTG, Pleease. Great community. Great info. There were no flaws / defects on this SFII that I can even remotely see. I have been playing the hell out of it over the last several weeks. Now jonesin' for another Dynasonic Guild. Looking at the X-175's with the Guild trem.

Truthfully, I didn't ask, but if it is important to you then you should. They are pretty responsive - assuming your looking at ProAudio Star as the seller..

Good deal you got your kiddo into playing! Tried to get mine, but he became a really good drummer instead.

Sorry so late in response, Bob. I got a really nice deal on this one. Asking was around $750.. I got it for $600..
However, I have made offers on other items with them and had the same as you.. Example, I made an offer on one of those Malibu Blue X-175 with Dynasonics / Tremolo. The had it listed at $995 for a b-Stock. I offered like $800. They came back with $990... I was like okay either they are firm or this cat wants to play the long-game.. Either way, not interested..

Congrats to you on launching a drummer :). We also have two daughters who are singers.

Thanks much for sharing your experience. I might just take a chance too - can return it if it’s not OK… but I’m not especially picky.

Thanks for getting back to me. It sounds like they wanted to haggle back and forth, which I can do if that's their game. I'll watch out for a deal on a Gretsch that looks good, lowball them and see how they react. It won't cost them much to ship it to me from Brooklyn.

The way they handle offers must depend upon what they paid for any particular guitar. I'm sure they don't have a lot of headroom on certain pieces.
