Above the photo of the guitar I stated:
"Maybe I can blame that weird S60 "axe" poster, but I just picked up: " Although seeing the poster again I realize it's an S70.
So yeah, I'm sure that had to have been a factor in the process. Great Googly-Moogly I love the sound of this guitar!
I've even dialed in an out of phase sound that almost equals the weirdness of the magnetic PU inside the bridge of my Supro
Martinique. The natural mahogany resembles some of the English Arts & Crafts mahogany pieces I used to import. Funny that ash
was the other wood used for the S300--I occasionally would also get ash Arts & Crafts furniture from England. A couple of times however
stained green or blue.
LOL - I totally missed that!

The one that was on eBay--it was also on the local Facebook Marketplace, so I messaged her and told her I'd rather pay her the price she had there than take my chances
on the auction. I also told the owner that I'd rather she'd get more of the money than eBay, Paypal and the bloated leach that is California. I just stopped playing it to post this--
it is sublime! There's a very tiny amount of buckle rash and a couple of pencil point dings and that's about it. She got it new and was her main gigging guitar.
Original case of course and it came with that Dunlop nylon pick--the same I mainly use. Isn't it great to stumble across something you never knew you needed?
Sometimes it's better than finally getting something you've been searching for for a long time!
Beautiful Mahogany!

I exchanged a couple messages with the seller on ebay after the auction ended. I was gonna pounce -- enjoy it!

Ah--evidently that axe shape was part of Guild's marketing scheme. This is a sticker on my S 300's case:Guild sticker.jpg

"WAIT, so who got it??"

Tom in Vegas

Why Spoon, of course!

Transaction took place in front the defunct Vons Market at which Vicki worked 20 years ago.
I sent a photo and GAD's piece on the S-300 to Steve my lead guitarist and I think he's almost as excited about it as I am.
I've already come up with several tunes on it that I'm trying to match to existing lyrics. Tomorrow I'll try it through my Sho-Bud
Xmas Tree amp which should get my two Manx cats running for cover!

Excellent deal!
I was surprised that guitar didn't sell on ebay. It was a reasonable deal and looks to be in great condition!
