Jeepers, a year ago I was seeing these (Like my own) go for $350-$500....the prices have jumped way up everywhere I look now...
Is it due to the price of the "new" guilds and the bad taste the Corona/imported stuff has left?

That is one gorgeous D25M though...no doubt well worth the money...

Thanks, Capn Juan, I'm not handy with this linkage stuff. Don't have a clue about prices on these D 25s, just know that only a tiny fraction of high end (or low end) guitars on the "List seem to sell these days....

Hi Dubbaround and welcome to LTG. Those aren't the best quality pics and at $975 and unless it's in as-new condition, it's over-priced. This CLer has posted an aggressive asking price because he thinks (1) starting high will leave negotiating room, or (2) there's a sucker born every minute.

Hi WT: you'll get the hang of the linking thing ... with CL, you can just copy the URL and paste it in ... getting the link to read as something else ... you'll get the hang of that too. It's hard to draw conclusions about CL because the actual selling prices aren't disclosed but this one will sit until the seller gets real ... or someone falls off the pumpkin truck.

You could have my D40 for not much more than that. The market stinks right now for better guitars, unless you're buying them. :(

Thanks, Capnjuan. Not to sound too obtuse, but where's the URL on the ad to copy? Don't see anything other than the sellers coded email. How do I copy and paste this ad?

The URL is the text in the box; if you go back to the CL listing, you'll see the internet address in the box. In most browsers, you right-click it with your mouse, and get a drop-down menu including 'Copy' ... if you're in the PC environment, it's copied to the clipboard; open the 'Reply' or 'Quote' box, right click and you should get 'Paste' as an option. Can also click the 'Edit' command upper right, drop down menu includes Paste.

Looks like in nice shape, correct period case, but I agree it's over-priced, unless it's MINT, then one might argue it's a reasonable price for a fine vintage guitar.

I'd have to play it with new heavy strings first, but if it's a sweet as the pics show, and it sounds as nice as it should...I'd pay that for it before I'd go buy a new one...you can't replace time.
