I just mowed my small back yard in 111 degree heat. App said it would feel more like 113, and I would have to agree with their statement.

It was a really long 20 minutes.

I have rocks. And desert friendly plants that are watered automatically. Only 111 today, but still, not a place I want to hang out. So I stayed inside. Woody, a desert person has a LAWN?? WTF?? We get fined for that here....

I know some people hate it, but I love mowing the lawn. I find it very therapeutic. I used to walk it for 4-1/2 hours over a weekend when I was younger, but no more. Now it takes me 1-1/2 hours on a 42” rider, not including the periodic weed trimming. I treat it as mental down time. Sometimes I sing while doing it, which I’m sure my neighbor finds more than a bit looney.

If you were singing "Bringing in the Sheaves" and "Comin' Thro' the Rye", yeah, I'd make a mental note you may have an obsession with cutting grass.

"Casey Jones" or "Crazy Train" or "I've Been Working on the Railroad" I'd envy your rich fantasy life but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to get acquainted.

"Born To Be Wild", I'd be shopping for a new place to live.

I've got just over 1/2 an acre of 'yard' (most of my lot is woods)... I trim and blow it out but have a guy zip his zero radius rider thing around it for 15 minutes at the tune of $40

in my defense, I can't see the budgeting of money for a fancy rider, my knees are too unforgiving for my trusty 70s orange Bobcat 21" push mower to do it. I bought 2 cheap, used riders in 3 years and both have since been given away as scrap

I watched that, and then the one below came up in the options afterward. The blade running across the grass was a bit concerning. These guys need a Bush Hog. I was once on a tractor that was Bush Hogging a watermelon field. After a few splats with chopped up watermelon I got off.
