I'm of the opinion that while post counts might be interesting, nobody really gets anything out of it, other than some sort of personal pride in being a frequent contributor to the discussions here -- good, bad or otherwise.
The information shared by members is often informative, but also highly entertaining and at times gives us a little glimpse into the personalities and lives of each other, thus strengthing the bonds between the members. I alluded to it in the best guild moments post that it is the interaction with people here that is the highlight for me.
Let me take a moment here to give a shout out once again to frono, Chazmo and the other moderators for keeping the topics in check and within the spirt of the forum. The Club Kiloposter thing was just for fun, like those internet polls that are meant only for entertainment. The most important thing is not how often we post nor always what we post, but that we post, because the interaction and involvement is what sparks the conversations that are at the heart of this or any forum.
You never know what you might learn, even if the conversation veers away from the subject at hand.
