Cool little things! Came in various versions. The above is probably the first version? Never seen a picture of a real one.

July 1974 ad, I guess that is the second version.

And the third version from 1975, as shown in that August 1975 ad:

GG is that one person that help to induce GAS for things you never knew existed.

I'd say it's as much of a Pignose clone as a sandwich is a clone of another sandwich?

It is a portable amp, roughly the same size, construction is quite different, single porky pig knob vs having a tone control, strange cells and the board mounted up high.

The original Pignoses sound surprisingly good. I have one, and tone wise, it rivals any amp that's got the goods. It's got warm tone, a bit of rasp, a stupid amount of volume, easy to carry, look neat, invented by Terry Kath, it's an amazing piece of gear from America's golden age of gear, but an original Colorsound Mighty Atom is prob worth several times what an original Pignose is worth.

Not sure the 1st year of the Pignose, or this, but obviously the early ones have 60's styling and the later ones 70's.

A sign of the times, but this looks very similar to Guild ads of the same period.
Probably the same ad agency. I'm sure that Guild didn't do their own ad design for the UK, especially once they converted to metric paper.

The Pignose was invented by Terry Kath ? I've never known that...When in Paris, quite a few folks playing streets had this little amp, and truly it's one of the best I've heard, if not the best (the Mouse too seemed quite good)...
Had I know that Terry Kath had invented it, I would have wanted to get one...

Not according to their website, which lists Richard Edlund as the inventor
